My name is Jon Howard, and I am a comms planner plying my trade in London with an agency called Quiet Storm

I'm married. And I have one ace son, who puts me to shame musically (with his piano playing) and at sport (swimming star of the future...and beats me at tennis as well).

Showing my anarchic, counter culture tendencies, I’m a practicing Christian. As this is something of a conundrum for most people, check these out to see exactly where I'm coming from: Ship of Fools, Third Way , ReJesus, Alternative Worship, Greenbelt. If we ever meet, be assured: I’m not a scary fundamentalist type.

I've a thing for fairtrade, and sell stuff on the side. And trying to be green (the wind turbine may come to nothing though!).

Other passions? Music, with a CD collection threatening to take over our lounge, trashy sci-fi films, and comics (a higher art form than most people would credit).

For some arcane reason lost in the mists of time, I support Leeds Utd (I've never lived further north than Coventry).

I enjoy cycling and walking (but can live without camping). I like gardening. But not DIY. I would love to learn to rock climb properly. I'm fascinated with British history (the older the better), folklore and stories/story telling in general (something brands could learn a lot from).

And for some strange reason, I’ve always quite fancied living in Glastonbury.

Oh...and why advertising? Geoff Howard-Spink, co-founder of Lowes, is my Godfather (and my Dad's cousin), so it seemed only right.
