Anthropology author(ity)

Willself

Who would have thought it - Will Self as amateur anthropologist.

Anyway, Seed Magazine has a wide ranging conversation between Self and genetic anthropologist Spencer Wells, that takes in topics as diverse as culture-as-virus, the dissatisfaction of travel (there but never 'there'), our desire to be connected with nature and rooted in place, the importance of walking, and much more.

Well worth a read.
