I've always liked Matt and his dancing. Not quite up there with the original Free Hugs for tear inducement. But comes quite close.
Anyway, it turns out a lot of people thought the whole thing was staged/a hoax, particularly when a corporate sponsor came on board.
And it seems they were right, as here is Matt fessing up to the whole hoax thing at a conference. Or maybe he's just making a point about cynicism, and the triumph of "uncoordinated, unselfconscious silliness", and just doing something nice which makes a human, even spiritual connection with people...
