We are always telling clients that product and price can be easily matched or beaten by the competition, and that sustainable success lies in a unique and defensible brand. But sometimes even that isn't true, particularly if you lose dynamism, rely on past glories and fail to let your brand evolve: someone can then come along and just 'do' you better.
