Probably the highlight of the Brits was seeing Arcade Fire pick up a couple of awards, and perform live.
Closely followed by the storm of WTF abuse on Twitter from those who'd never heard of them...
(Ehh, that would be Laura Marling, who created a similarly bemused response amongst Brits viewers when winning best female)
And it's not just in the UK.
When Arcade Fire picked up some Grammys, the response was the same.
Inspiring some people to song...
And a whole site in celebration of the confusion.
All of which goes to show that you can't always trust the wisdom of crowds, which would probably have rewarded talentless makeweights The Script over The Fire, and Cheryl Cole over Laura.
Because quality and popularity are not the same thing.
